The mission of the Department of Planning & Development is to provide quality services, information, and support to Dane County residents, elected officials, property owners, and visitors. The Department is a multi-faceted agency whose staff works on a wide variety of activities and programs designed to protect and enhance the public health, safety, and quality of life enjoyed in Dane County. Our staff is committed to assist you in:

Planning for vibrant, diverse and distinct communities
