Transfer of Development Rights
On 2/18/08, the County Clerk received action from a majority of towns in Dane County opposing OA 26, 2005-2006 (Transfer of Development Rights). Under s. 59.69, Wis. Stats, the measure is disapproved.
The final vote among town boards was 12 in favor, 19 opposed.
Towns voting in favor included: Blooming Grove, Christiana, Dunn, Perry, Primrose, Roxbury, Rutland, Springdale, Sun Prairie, Vermont, Verona and York.
Towns voting in opposition included: Albion, Berry, Black Earth, Blue Mounds, Bristol, Burke, Cottage Grove, Cross Plains, Deerfield, Madison, Mazomanie, Medina, Middleton, Montrose, Oregon, Pleasant Springs, Springfield and Westport.
The towns of Dunkirk, Vienna and Windsor did not vote.
