We can check to make certain your deed was recorded and that we could index it properly.
However, in most cases it is best to contact the staff in Property Listing (in the Department
of Planning and Development) because they are in charge of updating the records that feed into
AccessDane. When there is a transfer of ownership it may take a week for the document to be
recorded and another 4 weeks for AccessDane to be updated. If the change has not occurred in 6
weeks, then you may wish to contact Property Listing
to ask about it, and about other problems you notice.
If for some reason the deed was not recorded or is defective, Property Listing may suggest
that you contact the person responsible for drafting and recording your deed.
If the incorrect information was an oversight on the part of your local municipality or
Property Listing, they will promptly update AccessDane.
If you wish to learn more about how to use AccessDane, you may come into our office and we
can give you assistance at our public work stations. Our office hours are listed on the
left.
