Citizen Corps Council of Dane County
The Citizen Corps Council of Dane County was established in July of 2006 by County Executive Kathleen Falk.
The 17 persons appointed to the CCC-DC have backgrounds in public health, medicine, law enforcement and
volunteer agencies.
Four programs officially operate under the auspices of the Citizen Corps Council of Dane County: Citizen
Emergency Response Team Training (CERT), K-9 Search and Rescue (K-9 SAR), Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and
Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS). In addition, we have supplied a link to the READY Initiatives Program,
which addresses school safety issues.
