Filing Requirements for Dane County Constitutional Office
Offices
The following offices are up for election in November, 2012
- County Clerk
- Treasurer
- Register of Deeds
Eligibility
Candidates for County Constitutional Office must meet the following eligibility requirements.
- 18 Years of Age
- Elector/Resident of Dane County
Requirements
- Completion of
Campaign Registration Statement - Form GAB-1
File when candidacy publicly announced or when expending/receiving funds for candidacy.
- Completion of
Declaration of Candidacy - Form GAB-162
- Completion of Nomination Papers - GAB 168 (first one free; thereafter $.05 per page of 10)
Collect 500 (minimum) to 1,000 (maximum) signatures between April 15, 2012 and June 1, 2012.
- Statement of Economic Interest
Can be filed within 2 weeks of the filing deadline, or by June 15, 2012. [Pursuant to Section 9.60(1) D.C. Ords.]
Deadlines
The deadline for filing above forms is June 1, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
