Activities and Events

We feel that it is important the community be aware of our function as a commission. Much of what we do has to do with Equal Employment Opportunity Law which protects all terms and conditions of employment, housing and receiving services without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, physical or mental handicap, reprisal, and sexual origination. Our concentration is Dane county as a provider of services or employer but also the geographical area.

The commission meetings are staffed by the Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO). The OEO works closely with the commission assisting us to execute the mission and initiating special projects to enhance opportunities for traditionally excluded groups. Examples of these efforts are participation in community fairs, Advisory groups, web site development, business resource fairs and general advocacy.
