Walgreens Liquor License Applications
As part of a nationwide effort to increase profit by selling alcohol, Walgreens has applied for
liquor licenses to sell beer and wine at 5 locations in Madison. Two Madison licenses have been
turned down because neighborhood associations and citizens spoke out against the proposal. The
Alcohol License Review Committee will decide on the remaining three on Wednesday, July 21st at
5:30, in the City County building Rm 201. To voice your opinion on this matter, contact your alder
or pick up a form to testify at the meeting on the 21st.
