Someone's in the Kitchen is the theme of the Commission's 2008 desk calendar, now available for purchase for $7.50 plus tax at Madison museums, galleries, municipal halls, and selected retails outlets including gift shops and cafés. The calendar features action in the kitchen involving skilled chefs, amateur cooks, pots and pans, delicious food and its creative preparation, family and friends---all portrayed by local artists.
The 6-1/2" x 7-1/2" calendar initially was created as a one-time project to commemorate the millennium year in 2000. Due to its enormous popularity, the Commission has made the calendar an annual tradition to showcase beautiful artwork by local Wisconsin artists. Revenues from calendar sales support the Commission's programs.
Calendars may be purchased for $7.50 each (plus sales tax) during weekday hours at the Dane County Cultural Affairs Office, Room 421, City-County, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Madison, 608-266-5915.
