Each member of the food council provides a unique perspective on food issues in our county.
Members have backgrounds in agricultural, business, nutrition, economic development,
academia, urban planning, and food security. Individuals are appointed to the council by the county
executive (6 appointments), and the county board's Environment, Agriculture, and Natural Resources
committee (3 appointments), and University Extension committee. The current roster includes:
