Dane 2009/2010 - Description
The Fly Dane Partnership is in
the beginning stages of the
2009/2010 project. A
project planning workgroup was
formed with representation from
the county, municipal and
regional Fly Dane partners.
The proposal was reviewed by the
partnership and approved by the
Dane County Land Information
Office Committee. Fly Dane
Partners are taking funding
proposal back for local budget
discussions.
Fly Dane 2009/2010 Project Plan:
The initial plan is for a
two year project that
would consist of a 2009
LiDAR base terrain project
and then a 2010 color
orthoimagery project.
Terrain - 2009
Develop a new county-wide
LiDAR based terrain model.
Develop bare earth and
classified DEM.
Develop of 2'
contours
county-wide.
Support reports and
documentation.
Imagery - 2010
Develop 6-inch resolution
color imagery in areas
specified by partners.
This may result in more or
less 6-inch coverage than
previous Fly Dane
projects.
Develop a derived 1-foot
resolution black/white
imagery countywide.
Develop a derived 6-inch
resolution black/white
imagery in areas specified
by partners.
Develop 5-meter
county-wide image.

Continue to provide
contract flexibility for
partner to pay for
add-on's
Potential add-ons:
Building footprint update
3-inch resolution color
imagery
Planimetrics – edge of
curb, edge of pavement,
back of sidewalk, etc.
1-foot contours
The Fly Dane Partnership is open
and ongoing. New partners are
welcome to join the 2009/2010
