The street name attributes were reviewed by the Dane County Surveyor, Dane County Highway Department and Madison Area Metropolitan Planning Organization. Additional street name information was provided by the Cities of Fitchburg and Sun Prairie. The accuracy of the attributes was verified by manually comparing digital source information and hardcopy records. The address range attributes were reviewed by the Dane County Land Information Office with additional address information provided by the Cities of Fitchburg and Sun Prairie and the Madison Area Metropolitan Planning Organization. The accuracy of the data was verified by manually comparing digital source information and hardcopy records.
The data set meets the National Map Accuracy Standards for the scale 1:2,400 (or 1"=200'). The horizontal accuracy is +/- 6 feet for well-defined points, at a ninety percent confidence level. (Fly Dane 2000 Accuracy Report, Ayres Associates)
The data set is complete for roads that were constructed or platted thru 2006.
The data set is topologically structured line data with no gaps or omissions.
