NEWS & NOTES

The Dane County Land Conservation Department recently granted the Adult Conservation Team over $1,400 for the purchase of tools, herbicide and other supplies for volunteer projects. They have supported our volunteers in the past with other grants.

Old Halfway Prairie School is open on Sunday afternoons between Memorial Day and Labor Day, from 1:00-4:30. Volunteers from the Friends of Old Halfway Prairie School are on site to answer questions and show you around Dane County's oldest one-room country school.

May Flower Day will be held biannually in the future. We will sow seeds in February 1999 and pot-up in the Spring. These plants will be planted at the next May Flower Day, in 2000. Watch for announcements of those workdays.
