The Stoughton River Trail Task Force received a grant from the Dane County Environmental Council. It will be used for railings and signage on a pedestrian bridge connecting the trail over the Yahara River.
“Birds of the Nine Springs E-Way,” a bird inventory and checklist created by volunteers Kay Burcar and Pat Ready, and in cooperation with the Madison Audubon Society, has been republished. Once again Mounds Pet Food Warehouse underwrote the cost of printing. The brochure is available at all Mounds stores, the Madison Audubon Society, Dane County Parks and at the Nine Springs E-Way trailhead on Moorland Rd.
1999 pet permits, trail permits and boat launch permits are now available from Dane County Parks at 4318 Robertson Rd. All of these permits are accepted at Madison parks where dogs are allowed, boat launches and ski trails, and at the Sun Prairie dog park. |
