Harvester (Cutter) location(s) - Lower Yahara River
Lake Harvesting has been completed for the season except in the Lower Yahara River channel where harvesters are working to maintain flow.
A "Slow No Wake" Rule has been declared on lake's Mendota, Monona, Waubesa and Kegonsa. Recent heavy rains have caused the lakes to rise rapidly and the high water is capable of causing severe erosion of the shoreline, as well as creates a hazard for boaters due to floating debris. The restriction will be aggressively enforced.
Shoreline Cleanup: Once a year pickup of shoreline trash and aquatic debris is done as part of the "Take a Stake in the Lakes Week" in June. Yes: Aquatic Vegetation (lake weeds, algae) debris washed up on shore, No: Yard Waste or brush (grass clippings, leaves, tree limbs), household waste (garbage, pet waste, etc)
