Grants & Donations

There are many ways that you can give and play an active role in our parks. We encourage your participation in any of the programs listed below.

Park Partner Match Program

The Dane County Park Partner Match Program was established in 2000 to provide matching funds to interested parties for development projects on County managed park/natural resource area lands. This program recognizes the important role that partners play in the enhancement and improvement of Dane County recreation lands and natural resource areas, better providing for the recreational and natural resource protection needs of Dane County citizens and communities.

Applications will be accepted October 1, 2007 – January 1, 2008. Click on the link below to learn more about the program and to download application materials.

Scheidegger Trust Fund Grant Program

Dane County is currently accepting project proposals for financial assistance to acquire, develop, or enhance park lands in the Towns of Verona and Springdale. Upon his passing in 2001, Walter R. Scheidegger left a generous gift to the Dane County Parks Commission that established the Walter R. Scheidegger Trust Fund for the purpose of acquiring, developing, and enhancing park lands in and surrounding the communities of Riley, Verona, and Mt. Vernon. The purpose of the gift is to preserve the beauty of the native lands to which he was born and raised for generations of Dane County residents.
