Chapter 10 Revision Task Force

The Task Force for Prioritized Revision of Chapter 10 (Zoning) is seeking your ideas and suggestions to improve the Dane County Zoning Ordinance.

Current Zoning Ordinance Amendments In Progress

The task force is continuing its work on ordinance amendments for the following priority revisions:

1. Farmland preservation ordinance revisions. Town feedback is requested on draft changes to the A-B Agriculture Business district.
2. Communication tower ordinance revisions.
3. Revise commercial zoning districts including to support mixed residential / commercial uses and neighborhood-scale small business uses.
4. Develop an ordinance regulating wind energy systems - currently on hold pending state action on wind turbine siting standards. Related documents:
