Dane County Consolidated Plan 2004-2008

The Dane County Urban County Consortium is comprised of Dane County government and Dane County communities participating collaboratively in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) grant programs. These are federal grant programs that primarily benefit low and moderate-income persons in the community.

HUD regulations require Dane County to develop a new Consolidated Plan for Housing and Non-housing Community Development every five years. Dane County is currently soliciting input on the 2004-2008 Plan, which will address overall housing, economic development, public service, and infrastructure needs for communities outside the City of Madison. Dane County expects to receive approximately $9 million over the 5-year period of the 2004-2008 Consolidated Plan. Program Year 2004 grant amounts are estimated as follows: CDBG - $1,225,000 HOME - $550,000.

If you have any questions, please contact the Dane County CDBG/HOME office at (608)261-9781 (TTY (608)266-9138) or email at cdbg@co.dane.wi.us.
