On Monday July 26th, a Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested
Robert M. Hofmeister, age 45 of Belleville, for OWI – 4th Offense.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop at approximately 9:35 pm on Highway 12 and 18 near the Monona Drive exit. Hofmeister was first observed drifting as he traveled southbound on Highway 51 in his 1992 Honda Accord. When the deputy ran his license plate, he found the owner of the vehicle had a revoked license.
Hofmeister was booked into the Dane County Jail on the felony OWI charge. He was also cited for Operating After Revocation and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance.
