Sealcoat Projects

The process seals cracks in the road and provides a protective cover over the existing road surface. During the sealcoat process pea gravel is embedded in an oil emulsion to create the new wearing surface. The County brooms the loose gravel off the seal at the earliest possible time, but motorists should still expect to encounter loose gravel on roads that have been recently sealed. Please slow down while traveling on sealed roads or find an alternate route.
