PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD FOR DANE COUNTY HEALTH AND HUMAN NEEDS HEALTHCARE AND PUBLIC HEALTH WORKFORCE SUBCOMMITTEE

The newly created Dane County Health and Human Needs Healthcare and Public Health Workforce Subcommittee will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 5:30pm. The Subcommittee was created at the end of May, 2022 by the Health and Human Needs Committee (HHN) to examine challenges facing Dane County’s healthcare and public health workforce, including recruitment, retention, wellness, mental health, and community trauma.

"Our healthcare and public health workers are critical in our community. The challenges they are facing directly impact their friends, families, and the people they care for. We need to stand together to find solutions and resources to care for them in return," said County Board Supervisor Mike Bare (District 32), Chair of the HHN Healthcare and Public Health Workforce Subcommittee.

The 13-member subcommittee is interested in hearing from members of the public, healthcare and public health employees, as well as family and friends of healthcare and public health workers related to the challenges facing these critical roles.
