At tonight’s County Board meeting, the Board will recognize Dane County employees who have worked for the county for 25 years.  The recognition is done annually, and celebrates the many years of hard work that each person being recognized has dedicated to the county.

This year’s recognition includes 36 employees.

“This is an important recognition.  Public service is an honorable career choice that often goes unnoticed.  The employees being recognized tonight have likely spent a majority of their careers working for the residents of the county to make it the thriving community that it is today,” said County Board Chair Patrick Miles.

Dane County currently has 2,502 full-time employees, 247 of which have reached at least 25 years of service.

“Dane County is lucky to have such dedicated public servants.  The employees marking their 25 years of service are committed, hardworking people that deserve to be recognized for their contributions to the county,” said County Board Supervisor Elizabeth Doyle (District 1), Chair of the Personnel and Finance Committee.  “We owe them our thanks and appreciation for their hard work”.
