County Executive

Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk today offered her support of Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager following the Attorney General’s acting on the findings of the State Ethics Board. “Peg has worked hard for Wisconsin’s citizens as our Attorney General. She has been aggressive, effective, and fair in pursuing cases involving environmental violations, criminal investigations, public records and open meetings, among others. She has admitted, discussed, apologized for, and provided restitution for her OWI arrest. The Ethics Board decision notes that she did not act dishonestly or deceptively with regard to her use of a state automobile. I strongly support her work as Attorney General. I think it’s time to move on and let the Attorney General focus on fighting crime, protecting citizens, and safeguarding our environment.” Today (3/31/04), Falk will introduce Lautenschlager as the guest speaker at a talk sponsored by the Dane County Women’s Issues Committee, entitled, “The Second Generation: Daughters of Activist Moms.” The time of the talk is 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at 1202 Northport Drive (Human Services Main Office), Room 110, Madison. # # #
