AmericanConnection, a regional affiliate of American Airlines, announced today that it will add a third daily nonstop flight between Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) in Madison and Lambert-St. Louis International Airport beginning April 11, using a 50-seat Embraer jet. The flight time is one hour and 10 minutes.
More than 2.7 million people live in Greater St. Louis, making it the nation’s 18th largest metropolitan area. Among its businesses, it is home to Monsanto Company, Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, Anheuser-Busch, and A.G. Edwards and Edward Jones investment firms.
"One of my top priorities as County Executive has been to add more nonstop flights to meet the needs of our business community, ” said Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk. “I thank American Airlines for making it even easier for Dane county residents to conduct business in St. Louis and beyond."
“This new, morning flight to St. Louis allows passengers to arrive there at the start of the business day, and still come home to their families at night. It also opens up more ways to connect in St. Louis to many other destinations,” said Bill White, chair, Dane County Airport Commission.
Existing flights to St. Louis depart daily from Madison at 11 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. The new, additional flight will operate daily, except Sunday, at the following local times:
