Attempted Strong-Armed Robbery

12/17/07 - At approximately 2:17am Dane County Sheriff's Office Deputies responed to the Possum Lodge Tavern located at E. 110 Main St., in the Village of Cambridge, for an attempted strong armed robbery. The 24 year old male bartender reported that at approximately 2:08am he was met by a white male subject wearing an orange ski mask, blaze orange vest with camouflage colored sleeves, dark colored snow pants and snow boots. The suspect is further described as having brown eyes, weighing approximately 150-180 lbs., and being approximately 5'10 to 5'11" tall. The suspect put his left hand in his left vest pocket acting as if he had a gun and demanded all of the tavern's money. The suspect then attempted to punch the bartender and missed. The bartender then punched the suspect in the nose. The suspect fled out the back door of the tavern in an unknown direction without any money. Deputies are interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in or around the tavern after 1:00am who may have seen suspicious activity or have any information relating to this crime. Information can be relayed to authorities by calling the Dane County tip line at 284-6900. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
