Truck Crashes Into House

Madison, WI: March 29, 2008 At 12:53 am Dane County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to 2107 River Estate Lane in the Town of Pleasant Springs after the homeowner called and reported a pick up truck had just crashed into the house. The investigation revealed Brian E. Swenson, age 44 of Stoughton, was driving westbound in his 2002 Chevy Blazer on Pleasant Street when he failed to negotiate the curve and crashed into the house. Swenson, who was wearing a seatbelt, received a laceration to his forehead as a result of the crash. He was transported to Stoughton Hospital by Stoughton EMS, treated and released. Swenson was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated - 4TH Offense, and cited for Failure to Maintain Control and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The house sustained extensive damage to the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and structural floor support system. Initial damage estimates are $100,000.
