Dane County Jail Inmate Goes AWOL

Madison, WI – January 18, 2008. William F. Salisbury failed to return to the Dane County Jail – Ferris Center, following a medical appointment. Salisbury left the Ferris Center at 11:33 a.m. this morning en route to the University of Wisconsin Immediate Care at 4122 East Towne Boulevard in Madison. A Deputy completed a phone check on Salisbury and learned he never showed up for his medical appointment. Salisbury was declared AWOL at 2:58 p.m. Salisbury is currently serving jail time for Battery. Salisbury is sentenced with Huber privileges; which allow him to leave the jail for medical appointments. Salisbury is described as a 40-year old white male, 5’09” tall and weighs 189 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. Salisbury has a tattoo on his left wrist of a cross and star containing the name “Sue”. Anyone having information on Salisbury’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
