Deadline for Second Installment of Local Property Taxes Approaching

Dane County residents have through July 31 to submit their second, and final, payment of 2007 property taxes. Property owners received a reminder notice and should mail the bottom half of the notice with their payment. The address for payments is Dane County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1299, Madison, WI 53701-1299. If residents want a receipt, they should send the complete notice and a self-addressed stamped envelope with their payment. Payments may also be made in person at the Dane County Treasurer’s Office at the City County Building located at 210 Martin Luther King Blvd, Madison. Office hours are 7:45 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Failure to pay the second installment of 2007 property taxes on time will result in required interest and penalty charges of 10.5% annual rate retroactive to February 1, 2008. Property owners with questions should call the Dane County Treasurer’s Office at 266-4151.
