COUNTY OFFICIALS TO TAKE OATH OF OFFICE IN CEREMONY TUESDAY

Dane County’s newly-elected constitutional officers will take the oath of office on Tuesday January 2nd, 2007 at 10:00 AM in Room L1001 of the Dane County Courthouse (215 South Hamilton Street). Chief Judge Michael Nowakowski will administer the oath of office. The newly-elected officials are: Brian Blanchard District Attorney (2 year term) Kristi Chlebowski Register of Deeds (2 year term) Carlo Esqueda Clerk of Circuit Court (4 year term) David Gawenda Treasurer (2 year term) David Mahoney Sheriff (4 year term) Robert Ohlsen County Clerk (2 year term) John Stanley Coroner (4 year term) In addition to Judge Nowakowski presiding, County Executive Kathleen Falk will welcome the office-holders. Chlebowski, Mahoney and Esqueda were elected in November to their first terms in office. The others are all returning county officers. Blanchard and Gawenda were first elected in 2000, and Ohlsen and Stanley were first elected in 2004. # # #
