With the winter snows now gone and warmer weather here, residents affected by the August 18, 2005 storms are once again turning to the task of debris collection and removal. A community spring “clean-up day” has been scheduled for Saturday, April 8, 2006 beginning at 9:00am. Volunteers wishing to assist in this clean-up effort should report to the Lake View Church, 2200 Lincoln Avenue in Stoughton. Lunch will be provided. “Thank you to all of the volunteers who continue to work so hard to help our neighbors and friends affected by the storms,” said Falk. Volunteers should come dressed appropriate for weather conditions and working in the outdoors. Work gloves and pails will be provided. Volunteers are also encouraged to bring lawn tools to assist with the clean-up. Volunteers needing more information, and residents needing assistance with clean up should contact Stoughton Area Tornadoes Long-term Recovery Board Resource Coordinator Cristie Derrick at (608) 205-9898 or resourcecoordinator@tds.net. You may also contact Dennis Lund, Stoughton Area Tornadoes Long-term Recovery Board Spokesperson at (608) 423-9381 or (608) 695-1732. You may e-mail Dennis at dlund@twp.christiana.wi.us. # # #
