BUILDING DESTROYED BY FIRE IN THE TOWN OF WESTPORT

At approximately 3:10 p.m. on Thursdy, May 29, 2008, Dane County Deputies responded with Middleton and Waunakee Fire Departments to 5113 Hwy Q in the Town of Westport for a report of a structure fire. A large metal outbuilding containing farm related equipment and machinery was found to be fully engulfed. The building and its contents were a complete loss, however an estimate of damage is unavailable at this time. No one was injured during this incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
