Dane County Offers Brand New Road Maps

New County Publication Details Rural Routes, Parks, Outdoor Recreation Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk announced today the county now has brand new updated road maps that offer detailed information about county roads, parks, and opportunities for outdoors enthusiasts interested in finding good places to fish or go for a hike. “Whether it’s going to a park you’ve never visited before or just sightseeing Dane County’s beautiful countryside while on a Sunday drive, these new maps will get you from one beautiful corner of the county to another,” Falk said. The maps detail interstate and state highways along with all county and town roads. They also show the locations of Dane County parks and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource areas along with routes for the nearly 100 miles of bike trails that criss-cross the county. “Given Dane County’s rapid growth, we have a lot of new residents who may not realize all the wonderful opportunities there are to get out and enjoy our great outdoors,” Falk said. The maps cost $2.00 and are available in the County’s Planning and Development Department, Room 116 of the City County Building. # # #
