Two Motorcycles Collide in the Town of Medina

Madison, WI. April 17, 2010 – At 6:59 p.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Marshall Police, Waterloo EMS and Marshall EMS and Fire responded to a crash involving two motorcycles on Highway 19, just east of the Village of Marshall, in the Town of Medina.

Two motorcycles, each carrying a passenger, were traveling eastbound on Highway 19 when they collided with one another. The operator of a 1986 Harley Davidson motorcycle received life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. The operator of a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle was not injured. The two respective passengers were also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No additional information about the persons involved or the cause of the crash is available at this time. Personnel from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Reconstruction Team and Investigative Services are investigating the circumstances surrounding this crash.

Highway 19, between Boxelder Road and Karem Drive was closed for approximately three hours. This crash remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
