Operating While Intoxicated

Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to stop two intoxicated drivers engaging in some very risky driving last night. At approximately 2:15 am, while conducting a traffic stop on USH 12 near Gammon Road in the City of Madison, Sheriff’s deputies observed a 1987 Mercury Grand Marquise traveling eastbound in the westbound lane of the beltline. The deputies were able to stop the vehicle about .5 miles west of Verona Road. The driver, Dylan T. Ensign, age 29 of Madison, was cited for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense, and Wrong Way on a Divided Highway. At approximately 2:41 am, another Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a vehicle reportedly traveling at about 120 mph southbound on USH 51 near McFarland. Deputies were able to stop the driver on the 1800 block of Skaalen Road in the town of Pleasant Springs. Robert D. Moore, age 45 of Edgerton, was arrested for OWI – 3rd Offense. He was also cited for Operating After Revocation and Speeding. ###
