Lake Monona:  June 28, 2014

As a safety precaution, a Slow-no-wake Order will be enforced Saturday, June 28, 2014 from noon to midnight on Lake Monona for the Rhythm and Booms Event.  Boaters are asked to operate at the minimum speed at which a motorized watercraft is able to move and maintain adequate steerage control.  For more information on slow-no-wake orders visit https://www.countyofdane.com/slow_no_wake.aspx.

In addition, please be aware that there will be a large “No Entry” area strictly enforced surrounding the staging site for Rhythm and Booms at the west end of Lake Monona.  The area will be marked with warning buoys.  Boaters are encouraged to monitor weather conditions and familiarize themselves with direct access points to shelter along the lake shore.
