'Generation to Generation' Calendar to be Unveiled

An Oct. 21 celebration planned to honor 14 local artists with live music by Jim Schwall

MADISON - The Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission will unveil its 2015 Art Calendar, Generation to Generation, at a free public reception honoring fourteen local artists. On Tuesday, October 21st, from 5:30 pm-7:00pm at Cargo Coffee, 750 E. Washington Ave. in Madison. The reception introduces the 16thannual art calendar, honors 2015 calendar artists and will feature live music by Jim Schwall.


"Dane County offers our residents and visitors so much, from exciting urban life, to world-renowned agriculture, to our lakes and natural spaces," said Dane County Executive Joe Parisi. "Another of Dane County’s strengths is our thriving arts community. The local artists who contribute to the county’s art calendar each year are a testament to our community's creativity."


The 2015 art calendar is available as a wall calendar and a desktop calendar. The calendars cost $9.48 each (plus sales tax) and will be available at many retail locations and municipal halls and the Cultural Affairs Office (Room 421, City-County Building, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Madison).
