National Night Out is a national effort between law enforcement and local communities to promote community unity and partnerships in fighting crime together. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Village of Belleville Police Department for this year’s event. National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5th from 4pm-7pm at the Belleville EMS building, located at 480 River Street in the Village of Belleville.

 

National Night Out is a fun and informative event for the whole family.  This year’s event will include a bouncy house, dunk tank, and free food while it lasts. Numerous public safety vehicles will be on display, including fire trucks, ambulances, squad cars, patrol boat, bomb squad truck and robot, armored tactical vehicle, rollover convincer, and crime scene unit.  Med Flight is scheduled to land at 5:00PM and there will be K9 demonstrations beginning at 5:45PM.  There will also be several information booths including, Operation Lifesaver, 911 Center, DNR, Dane County Sheriff’s Office Diversion Program, and Hostage Negotiations Team.  We will also have a free raffle at the end of the event.
