MADISON - Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced today that the Dane County Aging and Disability Resource Center, Area Agency on Aging, and the Dane County Veterans Service Office will hold a Benefits Fair For Veterans on Wednesday, October 14,  2015, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Alliant Energy Center.  County Executive Parisi will welcome veterans to the event at 9:30 AM.  While this event highlights resources available to veterans transitioning into retirement, all veterans are welcome to attend.

“We owe our veterans much and this fair is a way to connect veterans to their benefits,” said County Executive Joe Parisi.  “Our Dane County Veterans Service Office works every day to ensure that veterans have access to the services they earned and we will continue this outreach to make sure every veteran in Dane County is connected with their benefits.”

A full list of the services and resources that will be available that day is attached. There is free admission to the event and there is no fee for parking. There will be onsite registration for certain benefits.  Flu shots and memory screens will be available.

Dane County Executive Parisi announced just last week Thursday that his 2016 Budget will be doubling the funding for Vets Ride with Pride, which allows eligible disabled Veterans to ride public transportation for free.
