Applications for the 2016 Limited Access Archery Permits will be accepted beginning Monday, July 25, 2016 through Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 11:59 PM.  The Limited Access Archery program provides opportunities to hunt deer and turkey on specific county lands to those archers with the required State licenses.

Applicants, 16 years of age and older are limited to one non-transferable permit for the fall hunting season.  Youth 15-years of age and younger are welcome to accompany and hunt under the guidance of a limited access permit holder. Applicants can select up to three properties in the order of preference for which they would like a permit. If selected, applicants will be awarded their first available property choice. Archers who would like to participate in the archery program can apply online at https://www.reservedane.com/archery_hunting.aspx. An overview map of archery properties can be seen at https://parks-lwrd.countyofdane.com/documents/pdf/Hunting_All_Properties.pdf

A nonrefundable $3.00 application fee will be charged for all applications submitted.  On Wednesday, August 24, 2016, there will be a random computer drawing. Successful applicants will be notified via email. Lottery drawing results will be posted online and at the Dane County Parks Office.

Successful applicants will have until 4:00 PM on Friday, September 2, 2016 to pick up their Access Permits at the Dane County Parks Office, 5201 Fen Oak Drive, Room 208, Madison, WI 53718.  The cost of the Access Permit is an additional $14.00. These costs cover administration of the program.

A second drawing will occur on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 for any permits that are unclaimed after the deadline. All applicants who did not receive a permit in the first drawing will automatically be entered into the second drawing.
