Public Invited to Tour New Facility Saturday, February 19th
Dane County’s new Badger Prairie Health Care Center will host a community open house on Saturday February 19th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The open house is an opportunity for the public to tour this new state-of-the-art care facility before its official opening on February 23rd.
Around 120 residents with varying care needs will call the new Badger Prairie home. The facility features private rooms with private baths. These rooms are grouped into households of 8-11 residents - each with its own kitchen, living, dining, and sunrooms with outdoor patios and flower gardens.
The new Dane County Badger Prairie is also the first nursing home in the state to utilize energy efficient features like geothermal for heating and cooling and solar-powered hot water for laundry and showers.
“Our brand new county nursing home offers our most vulnerable citizens the comforts of home and quality care in a warm atmosphere,” County Executive Kathleen Falk said. “I invite everyone to come and see firsthand this new state of the art, green health care center!”
